Human Rights House Network calls for immediate release of Leyla Yunus and Rasul JafarovMembers and partners of the Human Rights House Network (HRHN) and the South Caucasus Network of Human Rights Defenders in a letter to the Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan called to take all necessary measures to immediately and unconditionally release human rights defenders Leyla Yunus and Rasul Jafarov. ‘We further call upon you to put an end to the attacks, detentions and harassment of human rights defenders, journalists and activists, and to take steps in order to foster a safe environment for them, in line with Azerbaijan’s international obligations and commitments, including those as a member of the Council of Europe’, a letter said.
