The setting up of the EaP Civil Society Forum and of National Platform in all EaP countries is cited as "a good example of civil society's strengthened role in the ENP". Regional Report: Eastern Partnership15 May 2012The report reviews the progress achieved concerning the Eastern Partnership in 2011, which consolidated and advanced steadily on both bilateral and multilateral tracks. The increased engagement on the part of stakeholders whose support is crucial for achieving the ambitious goals of the Partnership is mentioned specifically. Those stakeholders include the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, the Conference of Regional and Local Authorities of the Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP), the EaP Business Forum and the Civil Society Forum, which established national platforms in all six partner countries. Download (PDF 126.26kB)Joint Declaration of the Eastern Partnership Summit - Warsaw30 September 2011The Heads of State or Government and representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, the representatives of the European Union and the Heads of State and Government and representatives of its Member States have met in Warsaw on 29-30 September 2011 to renew their commitment to the objectives and continued implementation of the Eastern Partnership. The President of the European Parliament and the representatives of the Committee of the Regions, the Economic and Social Committee, the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development were also present at the Summit. Report: Eastern Partnership25 May 2011The report reviews the implementation of the Eastern Partnership as proposed by the European Commission Communication of December 2008, which foresaw a partnership that includes a deeper bilateral engagement based on new contractual relations, a gradual integration with the EU economy, enhanced mobility and security, cooperation for secure energy supply and enhanced support for economic and social development. The Communication also proposed a new framework for multilateral cooperation with four levels structure: Heads of State or Government, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, four thematic platforms and, at technical level, panels. The progress achieved in this area in 2010 is reviewed in the report.
